The third Test between England and Pakistan kicked off today which is a must win for England to draw this Test Series. First time in the series England batting first were going well with openers Marcus Trescothick and Michael Vaughan put up a 101 runs partnership. It was nice to see Vaughan opening the innings and scoring a half-century in the absence of Andrew Strauss who flew home coz of the birth of his first child. Vaughan fell when he was on 58 and from then onwards England lost wickets quite regulary. England managed to score 248 for the loss of six wickets at the end of the day as Paul Collingwood, the replacement for Staruss held one end and was not out on 71. Liam Plunkett, the Yorkshire fast bowler makes his debut as Ashley Giles flew back home for a hip surgery. Plunkett has been picked ahead of James Anderson as Fletcher preffered four pace attack for this particular test.
England have to get a good grip of this game unlike how they missed the opportunity they had today after the opening stand. It will all depend on how they approach the game tomorrow.
