The second test between Pakistan and England ended in a draw after fine perfomances by both teams and the incidents that took place. Batting first Pakistan got to 462 with Inzamam scoring a 109 and got out to a controversial runout decision while Afridi fired with a quick 92 in 85 balls hitting 6 sixes and 6 fours. When Inzamam was on 109 Harmison picked the ball on his follow through and shied at the stumps and Inzi took evasive action to avoid injury, but umpired ruled Inzi out. England in reply got to 446. Ian Bell scored 115 with lot of patient while Pieterson scored a quick fire hundred offering great support to Bell. The England tail got some valuable runs specially the partnership between Udal and Harmison made sure that England were just 16 runs short of Pakistan's first innings total. During the England Innings Shahid Afridi was found guilty for scuffing the pitch and was banned for one Test and two ODIs by the match refree Roshan Mahanama. England were really fired up in their bowling when Pakistan started their 2nd Innings and Pakistan were 6 down at the end of 4th days play. But Inzamam stuck to his task got to his second century of the match and declared the innings at 268 for 9 giving a target of 285 to win for England with two sessions remaining. But England soon found themselves in a position of losing the Test when wickets tumble. Pieterson and Flintoff played a vital partnership in the middle to hold Pakistani attack. When bad light stopped play England were 6 down with 164 on the board.
England's consecutive series win has ended as thier hopes of a series win here in Pakistan has come to an end. England will be focusing now on the third Test for a must win to avoid the series defeat.
