Muttiah Muralitharan picked up 3 wickets after his long return to cricket while Kumar Sangakkara involving in 5 dismissals (3 stumpings and 2 catches). In Reply runs started flowing off the bats of Sanath Jayasuriya and Virendar Shewag though they lost wickets at regular intervals. At the end of the day it didn't matter who won this match. The main intension was to collect aid to rebuild Tsunami effected countries specially Sri Lanka. And the game has collected a lot of funds that is needed for this cause.
